However, it's important to note that items purchased at Appliances House – whether in-store, online, or via phone – are not eligible for return, refund, or exchange once pick-up, delivery, or installation has been completed. Exceptions to Returns and Exchanges
- Post-Delivery Damage or Alteration: Items that have been damaged, altered, or abused after delivery or pick-up are not eligible for return or exchange.
- Price Difference: The customer is responsible for any price difference in the original amount paid on eligible exchanges.
- Restocking Fee: Items delivered over 75 miles may incur a restocking fee if canceled after the item has shipped and is in transit, or if refused at delivery. The specific restocking fee amount will be disclosed before purchase completion and noted on the purchase receipt.
Eligible Situations for Exchanges:
- Damaged or Non-Functional Items: Items damaged or non-functional upon delivery or pick-up are eligible for repair or exchange when reported immediately at the time of delivery or pick-up.
- Fit Issues: Items that do not fit during delivery, installation, or after pick-up can be exchanged for a similar item if reported within 48 hours. Additional delivery or installation fees apply.
- Mechanical Items: Home appliances and other mechanical items deemed "unrepairable" by an authorized technician within the warranty period are eligible for exchange. This includes refrigerators, washers, dryers, ranges, ovens, microwaves, cooktops, dishwashers, etc. These items are not eligible for return after pick-up or delivery.
Service Fees:
- Non-Refundable Fees: Delivery, installation, haul-away, assembly, and related service fees are non-refundable once services are completed.
- Delivery Fee Refunds: Delivery fees for orders placed on applianceshouseaustin.com are non-refundable if the order is canceled more than 24 hours after placement or once the item is in transit.
Cancellation Exceptions:
- Prior Cancellation: Purchases can be canceled before pick-up or delivery without penalty.
- Special Orders: Special orders canceled before pick-up or delivery are subject to a restocking fee.
- Long-Distance Deliveries: Orders delivered over 75 miles may incur a restocking fee if canceled after shipping or refused at delivery.
